SpecScores, gauges, and rankings are editorial assessments with documented weights (methodology) — they are not guarantees of product performance. The dial-in calculator encodes standard brewing conventions; espresso machines produce very hot water and steam under pressure — always follow the manufacturer's safety instructions.
